Translation Connectors & CMS Integration

Off the shelf and bespoke translation connectors, APIs and integrations with the most popular content management systems

Whether you require content automation, high-quality translations, simplified multilingual workflows, cost savings or a bit of everything – we make it possible.

In today’s global content landscape, information lives in different systems and repositories - cloud applications, legacy ECM systems, WCM, collaboration tools, PIM and DAM. But handling content across systems that don’t necessarily play well together is not just time consuming and tedious, but it’s also error-prone, particularly when multiple languages are involved.

At Acolad, we believe it takes a strategic approach, focusing on process and technology, to scale up your online content and remain competitive in today’s global marketplace.  Our expert solution architects are here to advise you on the best connectivity approach and accompany you throughout your integration process.

Website Localization: 3 Effective Approaches To Multilingual Websites

Explore the pros and cons of today’s website translation technologies and find out how to determine what localization approach works best for your content.

What are the benefits of translation connectors?

Connectors and plug-ins eliminate tedious copy-paste and import-export operations. They allow content to be translated and published as is it produced, resulting in significant productivity gains for your company. Automating these processes lets you eliminate time-consuming steps, reduce costs and modernize your multilingual content management process.

Our translation connectors and plugins are flexible and can be scaled up as your project grows. Translation connectors and plugins are the ideal solution for you if you have a large amount of content or product files. They are often used by companies in the ecommerce, travel & retail, and industrial sectors like aerospace, automotive and energy to translate their website or product documentation.

Translation APIs

Acolad’s API (Application Programming Interface) lets you connect your website or editing environment to our translation services, helping you save time on project management and automate certain processes. For example, using an API can allow you to automate ordering translations for new content that’s been added to your website. Our translation API is a secure platform that ensures data security and confidentiality.

Fully Customized Translation Plugins

Our experts will work with you to understand your workflows and existing content management system and help you find a solution that fits your needs. Plug-ins simplify the translation process and make localizing your content a breeze. At Acolad, we’re ready to handle your large integration projects and can create a customized integrated solution for your content management system. Our team can create an integration for your workflows, no matter how large or complex they may be!

Client Translation APIs

A client API is an API provided by Acolad which allows your organization to create projects, attached files and other meta data like language and style guides. When completed, the final files can then be sent back via this API to your CMS.

You can gain access to our API and develop a middleware or interface using our documentation. Alternatively, we can work with you to develop a middleware that will connect to your system.

The client API is typically used when you have a dedicated IT team or technically proficient specialists, and you want to connect in this way or when you’re using a proprietary system which does not have off the shelf connection options.

Translation File Bridges

A file bridge is similar to the client APIs. However, instead of an API it can be a file system, most typically in FTP. You drop files in designated folders in a shared FTP and Acolad will then process those files and return them to similar folders for your teams to download at their convenience.
